Check out our write-up in HelloGiggles!

An enormous thanks to our friend Samantha Hirschberg at HelloGiggles for writing maybe the nicest article yet about Life, After. Seriously, we're so flattered.

Enjoy one of our fav excerpts!

Corinne and Erica’s friendship is one of the best parts of the series.
As I said previously, it’s important to die with someone you like — and they did that. Friendship is really the core of the show. That person you need in life AND death. The person you’d learn CPR for. If only we could all be lucky enough to die with a bestie by our side. I mean I wouldn’t want to die and I wouldn’t want my bestie to die, but figuring things out together — including the afterlife — is much better than figuring them out alone.

And this one!

I’m impressed with every aspect of Life, After — the writing, the acting, the comedic delivery, the title sequence and song, everything. The webseries is SO good that it leaves you wanting more. I’m dying for a second season. Not literally, but like maybe fake literally because I’d totally be a ghost in the show.

Life, After is featured on Decider

We're so flattered by the incredibly nice write-up we received from Decider. Check it out for yourself here.

Here's an excerpt: "The chemistry at play between the two leads and the rest of the cast makes each episode more entertaining than the last, and true hilarity ensues with each eerie encounter. The witty women behind this show make it more than worth the watch, and the absurd adventures over the eight episodes make us wish there was more to enjoy."

Have an amazing weekend!

WE’RE PICTURE LOCKED!

WOOHOO!!!

Here we are back on the last day of production, imagining being picture locked.

Here we are back on the last day of production, imagining being picture locked.

What does that mean? It means the actual editing of Life, After is complete. We’re happy with it, and we have no more changes to make. This is huge and very exciting for us.

So we’re done and ready to release now, right? Hold your My Little Ponies. There’s still more work to be done. This week, our director and editor Paul is having VFX and sound design spotting sessions, where he goes through the cuts with the appropriate team members to identify all the visual effects and sounds that need to be added. Then, those folks go off and make it all happen with elves in their magical visual effect and sound design castles!

But if there’s still work to be done, then what does this even mean? It means we’re getting much, much closer and can start to really plan Life, After’s release. But when when it be released? We’ll definitely let you know as soon as that date is locked, but we’ll tell you (and only you) a little secret… we’re aiming for just about two months from now. (But please promise you won’t yell at us if something unexpected happens and that changes!)

For our Kickstarter backers, we’re committing to get any outstanding rewards delivered before the show is released. So watch out! Really, watch out. Things can fall from buildings at anytime. Be careful out there!

We love you. We’re excited. Thank you.

First Test Screening!

On Monday, we screened all the episodes of Life, After for a small group of friends and collaborators to get their feedback on the edits. We're really pleased with the positive response and helpful notes we received, and we're going to spend the next couple weeks applying those notes so that we can lock picture and move onto the next stage of post production. Yay!!! Thanks to everyone who looked at the edits with us, and we can't wait for more of you to see the show.

This is where we would normally add a photo... but we forgot to take any photos. So this is where you can imagine all of us watching the show, laughing and looking highly entertained.

Post-Production Update

Have you been wondering what's going on with Life, After? Well, we are deep in post-production. We've been reviewing the episode rough cuts, finessing them to make them as awesome as possible. We'll be doing a few feedback screenings with crew and friends soon to collect notes and reactions. Once the cuts are locked, it'll be on to VFX and sound! Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer and closer to our finished project. Yay!!!

Life, After Thanksgiving

In the (slightly belated) spirit of Thanksgiving, we wanted to take a moment to say how thankful we are for all of the support from our backers, friends, and creative team in helping us make Life, After. We figured you might like to hear an update on the project!

As you probably know, we wrapped production in September. Those were seven of the most intense days we’ve ever experienced. We had everything from a party scene with extras, to closing down a street to shoot our deaths, to those tricky visual effect shots (you know, walking through walls, no big deal). We have so much gratitude for the amazing cast and crew that was on board. We really could not have asked for a better team.

Right now, we’re deep in the post-production process. We aren’t sure what our exact release date will be for the show, since our priority is to focus on making the best product that we can, but rest assured that you’ll be among the first to know.

We’re wishing you all a wonderful holiday season, and thank you again many times over for all of the support! Stay tuned for more news and watch out for those rewards…

Love, Erica and Corinne

P.S. Here are some fun pics from the shoot!
